![]() ![]() What i dont get is why Taylor kept Karous human friends in the story, i thought once they were sent off in this one they wouldnt be mentioned again yet they came back.why? I found this book to be somewhat like sinking sand at points with its to poetic writing style and depth of needless babble, however amoung all the babble is hidden a great story of two worlds fighting for supremacy of which neither one seems to be accomplishing, and wrapped within that is an angel and a chimera who cannot accept each other for what has happened in the past. ![]() She cant refuse his orders for he has made her out to be a traitor so none of the chimera trust her yet she stays to help them. ![]() Kaurou is now a resorectionist taking over from her fatherly figure Brimstone, she makes Chimera rebels for Thiago who is all for vengeance and blood. The story continues with karou and akiva the two 'starcrossed lovers' fighting in a battle neither one of them seems to understand. unless you have read the first one Daughter of Smoke and Bone in which case its very exciting to see At first glance Days of Blood and Starlight looks quite plain and boring in comparison to the first of the trilogy, and with it being a hardback and over 500 pages long its not an enticing read. ![]()
